This Government was never interested in negotiations - that's why we must take further action

The Government has announced that it has ended 'negotiations' over their robbery of teachers' pensions. But they were never interested in any serious negotiations in the first place. No, it was only ever going to be determined action that would make them think again.

Our action in June and November did force them to concede some protection for over 50's , and some additional funding for the scheme - but still nowhere near enough. They still want teachers to pay more, to get less and to work longer - even to 68 and beyond.

That's why our response to the Government's announcement needs to be a clear YES YES vote for action - and a firm strike on March 28
